Check out the Rockin on the River concert event this Friday featuring Frontiers, the nation’s only full time touring tribute to Journey. This year is the 25th Anniversary of the area’s longest running and highest attended outdoor concert series.
Frontiers is the nation’s only full time touring tribute to Journey. Frontiers features vocalist Jeremey Hunsicker, who was briefly tapped as a replacement vocalist for Journey in 2007, and was a contributing songwriter on Journey’s platinum-selling “Revelation” CD. Pretty awesome way to use some recycled items and help animals get a much needed “Second Chance.”
The ''Second Chances'' event was designed and choreographed by the school's art students, under the capable tutelage of Sherrine Selzer, professional artist/art instructor. It was quite the production.
Showcased by student models and designers were 25 garments you'd be hard-pressed to find at any store, fashioned from what Selzer termed ''found'' or recycled items. Everything from garbage bags to duct tape, Bubble Wrap to balloons to butcher paper, cereal boxes, sheet music, pop cans, gift-wrap ribbons, cellophane, sheer curtains and bed
sheets.
